A growing electrical service focused contractor in the GTA is currently looking for an enterprising, ambitious individual for a project management opportunity! The Service Coordinator / Estimator is responsible for scheduling resources and managing electrical projects and ensuring that the projects fall within budget, required timelines and meet the team’s requirements for quality. You will also be accountable for project invoices and acts as the primary point of contact for customer inquiries while maintaining a high level of customer service.
Typical decision-making required for this position includes:
-Resource management decisions (strategic scheduling)
-Ensuring all work is conducted safely
-Handling changes in billing due to changes in project scope
-Utilizing best practices to increase work quality
-Using systematic approaches to troubleshooting and repair
-Accurately estimate time and materials required for jobs and providing timely quotes to customers
-Scheduling and deployment of manpower and resources for multiple projects, service calls, and scheduled maintenance based on need for action, work objectives, project schedule, future needs etc.
-Allocate time and materials to work orders; issue purchase orders as required
-Assist to complete RFPs, and prepare quotations for small jobs and service calls in collaboration with the Estimating Department
-Follow up and report on open quotes and work orders
-Answer customer inquiries and expedite the resolution of customer problems and/or complaints
-Verify all work orders for accuracy and proper completion
-Review project budgets and timelines to ensure compliance with project plans
-Assist managing ongoing projects
-5-10 years of relevant electrical experience in a electrical contracting setting
-5+ years of experience with job quotes in an office environment
-Solid knowledge of Ontario Electrical Code
-A valid “G” class driver’s license
-Detail orientated with some computer abilities
-Great attitude with a desire to exceed customer expectations
